Made by Woodford & Warner
MADE BY WOODFORD & WARNER IN WOODFORD GREEN, LONDON
WHY IT'S CRAVED
Ruby red and deep flavour with a hint of spice, Sarah's hibiscus cordial has clean, sharp notes balanced with sweet agave syrup.
Hibiscus Sabdariffa contains one of the highest concentration of antioxidants in nature - a superfood has never tasted this good.
Hibiscus flowers are used to make drinks all over the world. Sorrel is the Caribbean name of the Hibiscus Sabdariffa flower, hinting to Woodford & Warner's Trinbagonian roots. The cloves and cinnamon in this recipe are also traditionally from the islands.
HOW WE LIKE IT
We like to add it to cider (hot or cold) for a fresh upgrade to the original, and mix it with a rooty gin like Jensen's Old Tom for an easy cocktail. We also love it just with sparkling water - mixed half and half - a perfect mocktail, for example to avoid drink envy during pregnancy.
Water, Organic Agave Syrup, Sorrel (Hibiscus Sabdariffa), Cinnamon, Cloves
Sarah grew up in a large family where cooking and entertaining were an important part of life. In her late teens she started making Sorrel (the Caribbean name of Hibiscus Sabdariffa and the drink made from it) for Christmas in Trinidad, where it is a traditional seasonal drink.
